Come Selahway With Me…

So, I will admit that I’ve had to be a little coy lately in interviews and guest posts as to what’s next. I do have things coming out in a few anthologies and I’ll have another story in The Realm Beyond’s issue 5, and I’m hoping to have some more shorts to announce soon.

But in terms of big stuff, there hasn’t been a lot on the horizon…until now.

Believe me, it has not been easy to keep my trap shut about this, because I am so, so, SO incredibly excited about this project.

In a nutshell, I’m going to be terrorizing the world of fantasy by forcing my first series onto the world!

Seriously, I’ve been asked to join the Seventh Star Press family and I couldn’t be more thrilled. They’re an amazing, talented group of authors, artists, and people committed to putting out great series. They really are all about the genres they put out, so of course I’m all about that. This year, the first of four books of The Kingdom City Chronicles will see print. Official blurbs will be forthcoming, but think of it like this…what if a fantasy world had it’s own brand of urban fantasy? What if, beyond the “odd” things we’ve come to look at in the fantasy genre, there are things that are even more fantastical, things that could make trolls freak out and princesses go rogue? You’ll see some familiar creatures and story threads, as well as some legendary folk and fairy tale characters…but you’ll get to see them as you’ve never seen them before. I’m really excited to be able to bring this cross-genre series to life, especially with such an amazing company. Seriously, I’m really looking forward to this. I’m nervous as hell and I’m sure there’s going to be some self-doubt, but I have every bit of faith that together, we’re going to knock out some awesome titles. Plus, not only will there be cover art, but interior art as well!
