Updates – New Graphic Novel Reviews!

I have been up to a lot lately, so I thought I’d put my latest reviews here before I update those specific pages. Also, if you haven’t checked out the new look – I can now be found at http://www.selahjanel.com – slowly but surely, I’m getting things done! All these can be found at booksbyviolet.com – give her whole site a look through while you’re there!

Today, let’s catch up on all my YA graphic novel reviews:

Swing It, Sunny – continuing my series on middle school themed titles, this one explores a lot of family dynamics and how things change for Sunny.

Roller Girl – Rounding off the middle school titles, this one looks at how friends change and new interests aren’t as easy to learn as you’d expect.

Nimona – Starting a run of adventure-themed titles, this book showcases a villain with a personal grudge and his sidekick who is way more than she seems. Great world-building in this one, too.

Spill Zone – A girl struggles to provide for herself and her sister after their parents are lost during a strange event. Now, she has to venture into the Spill Zone and avoid all kinds of creatures that lay in wait.
