So I’ve gotten my new/adjusted schedule for Fandom Fest this weekend. I’m so excited I can’t stand it. I’m also so nervous I can’t stand it. I know it’s going to be a great learning experience and a great time meeting everyone and seeing other authors. Plus let’s be honest – I will be geeking out to the nth degree. Still, I’m not used to being on this side of things. It’s given me a new respect for all the people I’ve seen behind tables and talking about their upcoming projects at different cons in my time. To make it even more fun I was asked a few nights ago to moderate the panels that were my idea…so the very first panel that I’m ever going to sit on I also happen to be moderating. This is either going to be fantastic or the stuff Clive Barker stories are made out of.
I’m stoked about seeing friends that I haven’t seen in a while and meeting up with new ones. I’ve had some great people give me great advice and I’m looking forward to hanging with them and seeing what everyone is up to.
That all being said, if you’re in the Louisville area from Fri June 29-Sun July 1 you should come by the Galt House for a HUGE gathering of the pop cultural masses. We’re talking authors, actors, gamers, the works. Not only do you have Fandom Fest but you also have Midamerica Comicon AND Fright Night Film Fest. It is guaranteed to be a good time and you’re bound to find something to interest you.

And for those who want to know what I’m doing, here’s the new schedule:
Friday 4:00 Morrow Room Horror Genre Perspectives from Female Writers (I’ll be moderating this one)
Friday 5:30pm Jones Room Horror Cage Match
Saturday 5:30 McCreary Room The Wardrobe in Your Writing
Saturday: Reading: 7pm in the Holly Room (still deciding what pieces I’m going to bring with me)
Sunday 10 am Stanley Room Female Characters in Horror (I’ll be moderating this one)
Sunday: Signing: 11:30 am (Near Joseph-Beth exhibit space in Expo area off main hall close to escalator)
So we’ll see if I’m still alive by Monday the 2nd 😉
Wish I could be there! I know you’ll do great and have a fantastic time! 🙂 Your schedule definitely looks like you’ll need a vacation next week. 😉
