Welcome to Selahville

I’m a constant creative who sees magic and possibility in everyday life. Ideas and stories fuel my artistic drive, no matter how I end up channeling it.  I currently work as a seamstress/costume designer and have been known to still get on a stage once in a while. I’m also always writing. I like to make people think and urge them to appreciate the magic and romance that hides in the mundane. I gravitate to various subgenres of fantasy and horror, especially if they’re folklore-based, but will write anything if the right idea comes along (please see the books page for my current projects). Weird adventures happen to me all the time, so you never know what I’ll get up to next!

Costumes: I currently don’t use this site for my professional resume and portfolio (please don’t judge me just based on my dorky craft projects – an update on this end is in the works). For inquiries, please email me at the listed address.

Costume Commissions: I currently am not taking any new projects for 2017 from individuals. Businesses and production companies get preference at this time. Feel free to contact for additional information.

Guest Posts and Reviews: I currently take guest posts based on needs and general ability. I typically scout these out on facebook or twitter, generally, within the group or author/artist circles I frequent. Currently, any SJ reads titles I do on this blog are based on my library habits and tend to be mass market titles to avoid conflicts of interest. I tend to focus on YA graphic novels and manga for my columns, and at this time scout those titles, myself. If you’re an author/publisher of those and want to talk, feel free to contact me. Otherwise, any other comic titles I’ve reviewed have been provided to me from places like Darkhorse Comics or Action Lab via the review sites those are published on.

While I tend to just apply for guest post or interview opportunities as I find them, if you want to talk about me doing a guest post, interview, or other writing/art based thing for you, feel free to hit me up at the email.
